Pediatric Therapy Careers at MOCO Movement Center
Join a pediatric therapy team where movement, play, and real-world skills drive progress.
If you want to do real clinical work in a gym instead of a treatment room, and you want a team that actually has your back, you might be a good fit here.
Quick Answer
MOCO Movement Center is hiring pediatric physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, full-time or part-time, with immediate starts, at its gym-based clinic at 5268 Nicholson Lane, Suite A, Kensington, MD 20895. Therapist pay is $75,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and schedule, with a hybrid compensation model that offers room to earn above the base range. New graduates and experienced therapists are welcome. To apply, complete the short online application and attach a resume. Not ready to apply? Reach out to set up a short conversation first.
Why People Stay at MOCO
We asked our own team what keeps them here. It wasn't the equipment (though the ice rink and climbing wall don't hurt). It was the people.
01 — A team that covers for each other
OT, PT, and speech aren't siloed here. You'll consult with other clinicians in the hallway, not just in a chart note.
02 — Room to actually learn
If you're early in your career, this is a place to build real clinical judgment fast, working alongside therapists across three disciplines.
03 — Leadership that's in the building
Andrea and the MOCO leadership team aren't distant. They know your caseload and they know your name.
04 — Work that means something
You'll watch a kid who couldn't cross the balance beam in September do it without thinking about it by spring. That's the job.
What to Expect
MOCO sees kids after school and on weekends, because that's when families can actually get here. Most clinical roles include evening hours (sessions run as late as 6:30 to 7:00pm) and a weekend shift, either Saturdays or Sundays.
For a lot of clinicians, that schedule is a good fit. More control over your weekday mornings, meaningful hours, and a team that's used to working this way and makes it work.
If you're coordinating around a partner's schedule or young kids at home, it's worth thinking through before you apply. We'd rather you know upfront than find out three weeks in.

Who Tends to Thrive Here
You might be a strong fit if you:
Are licensed (or in process) as a PT, OT, or SLP in Maryland
Like using play and movement as real clinical tools, not just a warm-up, working with kids on strength, balance, coordination, motor planning, posture, and mobility
Have experience with (or want to build experience with) developmental delay, hypotonia, cerebral palsy, neurological conditions, orthopedic needs, or sensory and motor challenges
Communicate well with families, just with charts
Want to work across disciplines instead of in a silo with a dynamic multidisciplinary team
Are comfortable with evening and weekend clinical hours
"A special shout-out to Juliana, whose loving and gentle approach immediately put our daughter at ease. To Stephanie, thank you for your boundless energy and enthusiasm. And to Blair, we appreciate you consistently challenging her and helping her reach new milestones in every session. We also want to acknowledge the wonderful ladies at the front desk. From the therapists to the front office, every interaction has been positive and supportive."

"I have worked with the folks at MoCo both personally and professionally and adore them. As an advocate, Moco is one of my top recommendations for fun, strengths-based therapies. As a parent, my child absolutely adores the Tiny Tumblers classes and visiting with Callie and Barbara. I will continue to recommend Moco to families and my daughter and I will continue to enjoy classes in such a supportive, inclusive space!"
