Speech and Language Therapy
MOCO speech-language pathologists embed skill-based treatment into functional, socially-appropriate movement experiences that help to regulate, delight, and challenge the child.
The engaging MOCO setting offers the foundation for active and engaged learning to boost communication skills and build confidence.
Our speech-language pathologists provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for disorders or delays in articulation, auditory processing, expressive and receptive language, executive functioning, Apraxia (motor speech planning), dysarthria, pragmatic language, and social skills. Therapies include comprehension, language expression, cognition, feeding and swallowing, speech sound production, voice, and fluency.
Speech and language skills are taught in meaningful contexts that incorporate a child’s personal interests and strengths. Given individually-targeted and sensory motor-based activities, children have fun while expanding their speech and language skills. Natural play settings and real-life opportunities allow kids to integrate their words, emotions, and actions, from which social skills evolve, vocabulary and sentences develop, and comprehension flourishes.
